We look forward to running another of our solar charger making workshops at EcoFest in Tavistock on Saturday 20th July!
This full-day workshop has been supported by Tavistock Scrapstore and will be held at Kingdon House.
Ecofest was an idea that developed between Tavistock Scrapstore, Tavistock Bid, Trudy Scrumptious Café, Transition Tavistock, Tavistock Community Gardening and Precious Plastic.
It will be a fabulous one day festival in the local Meadows and will include stalls from local businesses and community groups, recycled art, poetry, music, talks, a swap and share, repair shop, machine that recycles plastic, and craft and activities such as green woodworking.
This festival celebrates sustainability in Tavistock, giving local businesses and groups the opportunity to showcase their sustainable products and solutions to environmental concerns and raises money for Tavistock Community Gardening, who create small space, abundant and beautiful gardens throughout our town.
The festival educates and delivers a positive environmental message through practical activities, performances and art that celebrate natural resources, proposing new ideas for green living to consumers along with suggestions (in the form of a booklet) of where to shop locally and ethically.
