People with Power – Making solar panel artworks in Plymouth

In October in the run up to Illuminate in Plymouth Art and Energy ran a solar panel artwork making workshop with PEC Pals to learn more about how to get creative with renewable energy.

Here is a gallery of some of the pictures from that workshop and some further information about what were hoping to do in Plymouth

Big Bang Artworks finally on display in Plymouth!

In June 2019, Art and Energy CIC worked with over 170 students from schools across the South West of England at The Big Bang Fair in Westpoint arena.

The 7 now completed solar panel artworks inspired by ‘The Big Bang’, will finally be displayed at Ocean Studios at Royal William Yard in Plymouth from 27 Nov to 1 Dec as part of Plymouth’s Illuminate festival.

hurray! we’re working with the solar range!

The Solar Range are a brilliant company based near us in Exeter who make the most wonderful solar powered street furniture that provides illumination at night (and energy for other stuff too!)

So we’re pretty darned chuffed that they’ve agreed to help us with the electronics connecting our solar artworks to an illuminating artwork – ‘Moths to a Flame’.
