Clean Streets project progress

Art and Energy continue to drive forward with our Clean Streets project in partnership with Plymouth City Council, Innovate UK and Urban Electric. The project has recently funded two successful creative energy themed workshops with the local schools involved in the project.

St Andrew’s C of E Primary School

Art and Energy’s Jenny and Naomi spent a brilliant afternoon with the students at St Andrew’s C of E Primary School. The pupils will be designing the sticker for the Prospect Place feeder pillar box and the school visit included a gentle stroll to view the box and play energy eye-spy along the way.

The session continued back in the classroom with an energy inspired creative session to start ideas flowing for the sticker design process. We can’t wait to see their finished design!

Thank you to Mr Napier and the team at St Andrew’s for allowing us to visit and work with their inspiring young people!

Millbay Academy

Art and Energy’s Jenny and Cat have recently spent the morning with a group of artistic Year 9 pupils at Millbay Academy in Plymouth. These students will be designing the Hobart Street feeder pillar box which is just around the corner from their school. The creative energy themed workshop using different drawing techniques - charcoal, carbon paper, invisible ink (UV pens & torches) and collage to inspire the students to start the design process and we’ll look forward to viewing their final design!

Thank you to Lottie Slater, art teacher at Millbay Academy, for inviting us to visit and work with her fabulous students!
