Finding Common Cause with Foundation for Common Land

Art and Energy’s Naomi was invited to attend and present at Foundation for Common Land’s Dartmoor based conference - Finding Common Cause: Collaborative Approaches to Delivery in Shared Spaces.

More than 100 people from Southern England gathered at Buckfast Abbey to discuss the future of the upland commons and celebrate an amazing programme of work that had encouraged new collaborations to address how these wild open spaces can provide for all needs - the land and the people who make a living from it, or visit it.

We displayed mosses to study, little fleece blankets to embroider, The Mossy Carpet and The Tardigrade Telephone. A different and creative story of restoration and engagement by thousands of people across the South West

We were talking to people attending the conference about the sorts of stories they take notice of about the Commons, and how they express their creativity.

Our thanks to Foundation for Common Land for inviting us to be part of the day.
