The Art and Energy Collectives is nearly 5 years old!

It’s been a roller coaster as we’ve navigated the challenges of starting something new and attempted to carve a path through Covid19, climate change and an energy crisis. We’re incredibly grateful to all those who’ve supported our early steps.

Smile all round at our first virtual Board meeting

This year, we feel like we’re doing some real ‘growing up!’ (in business terms at any rate). We are delighted to appoint 4 new people to our Board of Directors. This inspiring and brilliant group will help us shape and grow our Community Enterprise over the coming years, starting with launching our New digital platform BURY the GIANT. Club at the end of January 2023.

BURY the GIANT. Club is for anyone who wants to be creative for a brighter greener future, and we look forward to hosting fun stuff that people can access anywhere at anytime and connecting and celebrating those doing inspiring things for our planet.

2023 will see Art and Energy:

  • Pioneering new solar artworks which will be exhibited towards the end of the year.

  • Experimenting creatively with communities in trapping carbon underground, planting their home-grown sphagnum moss and local felted fleece to help regenerate moorland.

  • Delivering more commissioned participatory art projects which help people connect with energy issues that affect their lives.

We’re expecting challenges ahead, but we feel like we’ve got a team to be proud of and some awesome and talented people helping us navigate the next stage.
