Lord Mayor’s Festival, Plymouth

What a glorious day we had at the Lord Mayor’s Festival in Plymouth on Saturday 21st May.

We were joined for the day by our friends at Plymouth Energy Community and ran a joint stand to promote both our organisations.

Over the course of the day we talked to over 1000 people! and we proudly displayed our Moths to a Flame geodesic dome for all to see and enjoy.

Thanks to a generous grant from the Plymouth Octopus Project ( POP) we were able to hand out free copies of our children’s story book The Moth’s Whisper to over 250 young people & families who engaged with our stand throughout the day. We added to this funding to give away an additional 110 copies of the book.

We were able to have conversations with many like minded folk from a variety of backgrounds who might be interested in working with us to be more creative in response to the climate emergency.

Many of our visitors added their own drawings & words to our energy scroll, adding their thoughts & hopes for a greener future.

Thank you to everyone who supported us & visited our stand throughout the day.
