Mini mossy jam jar terrariums: Creative Challenge April 2023

Did you know Art and Energy release a monthly creative challenge on our Bury the Giant Club?

Our creative challenge for April 2023 is to make your own mini mossy jam jar terrarium and watch it grow! Watch Naomi and Jenny talk you through this challenge with their step-by-step instructions.

You will need:

  • a clean jam jar

  • cardboard tube (like a loo roll) or a little piece of fleece or something to make a nest in

  • Tape to stick the roll to the lid.

  • scissors

  • pen

  • rainwater

  • a small piece of moss from a brick wall, in a lawn or around a drain pipe.

  • a little bit of soil or fleece to hold the dampness and provide a tiny amount of nutrients

We’d love you to share your terrarium creations on our Bury the Giant Club - we have a specific space on the Club for this challenge where you can find more hints, tips and creative suggestions and also to share photos of your newly made terrarium and as it grows.

Bury the Giant Club is free to join and all are welcome to join this online community getting creative for a brighter greener future.
