Description

‘The Moth’s Whisper’ tells the story of Marny, a newly emerged Yellow Underwing moth as she looks for the moon and discovers the world of humans.

‘The Moths Whisper’ was specially commissioned for The Art and Energy Collective’s Moths to a Flame project. It follows the journey of Marny the moth as she emerges from her pupa and discovers a very human world as she journeys in search of the moon.

The collective noun for moths is a whisper. At the end of this book you will discover a moth colouring sheet which you can decorate, then bring your moth to life using the QuiverVision App. Record your selfie with your own whisper of hope for the future, then share it online using #MothsToAFlame.

Let’s join Marny the moth and turn our whispers of hope into a roar for life.

Moths to a Flame is a mass participation art installation for COP26, The United Nations conference on climate change, due to be held in Glasgow in November 2021.
