Schools
Your school or community can be part of making The Mossy Carpet, an epic new artwork inspiring creativity for a brighter greener future.
Our workshops will support behaviour change, encourage nature positive action and stimulate creativity. Your involvement will amplify the impact of this memorable, meaningful and photogenic project.
Sessions can include:
Be More Moss - Students will be introduced to mosses and the vital role they play, burying carbon underground, purifying air, reducing flooding and increasing biodiversity. We will discover truly wild places on our doorstep and explore how we can all 'be more moss' taking tiny actions together to change our climate.
The Mossy Carpet Make - A super simple and accessible invitation to make textile tufts from upcycled materials to add to the ever growing carpet to create a vibrant and striking artwork together.
Tell the Tardigrade - Students will be encouraged to 'tell the tardigrade' what tiny actions they are taking for a brighter greener future in order to share ideas and inspiration with others who are feeling stuck. These audio messages will be incorporated into the carpet and will play when people stroke the carpet.
Restore the Moor - Through partnerships with regenerative farms on Dartmoor, we will help people take positive action through a moorland restoration programme.

Community groups and events
Art and Energy and The Mossy Carpet are available to join your community group or event.
We can bring a display of mosses for initial inspiration and link to the natural environment. We display a section of The Mossy Carpet and bring creative materials to make moss inspired woolly pompoms or other textile tufts to add to the artwork. The Tardigrade Telephone completes our display allowing members and visitors to add their audio message recording their tiny actions to make the world a better place.

Two hour session with 1 member of our team - from £150

Full day at your community event with 2 members of our team - from £600
Half day at your community event with 2 members of our team - from £350
