Clean Streets project update

Art and Energy are busy bees working away on our Clean Streets project in partnership with Plymouth City Council, Innovate UK and Urban Electric. Following on from our successful Creative Energy Day, we have been concentrating on designing artworks for the electric vehicle feeder pillar boxes in Plymouth City Centre.

Our first sticker is Art and Energy’s Moths to a Flame inspired design which celebrates the support Plymouth City Council gave our COP26 project. In addition to a large rectangular design, there are smaller moth stickers, each created from individual milk bottle moths from the Moths to a Flame installation. The sticker is now pride of place on Phoenix St, Stonehouse, Plymouth, PL1 3DN (near Millbay Academy) - look out for it on your travels!

The remaining nine feeder pillar boxes will be designed by local artists and community groups, we have been open to applications for the past month and can now announce that we have selected our nine designers! We had such a wide range of ideas & applications and really look forward to showcasing our nine designs in due course.

Jade Kelly has been selected as one of the nine designers and we are delighted to share her design mock-up as a sneak peek of things to come!
