Our Future is Peat workshop

Insh Marshes on the River Spey

Art and Energy's Naomi has been up in Scotland for the IUCN UK Peatland Programme Conference. The three day conference based in Aviemore has included site visits to various locally important peatland habitats and Naomi has visited Insh Marshes, a RSPB Scotland nature reserve on the River Spey floodplain.

Naomi took part in an experiential expression of peatlands workshop - Our Future is Peat, with artists Caroline Vitzthum and RE-PEAT a collective pushing for a peatland paradigm shift. Our Future is Peat is a creative engagement with the environment workshop contemplating our historical relationship and perceptions of peat.

Thanks to the IUCN UK Peatland Programme for another great day at #peatconf24
