Utopia project update

Art and Energy are working in partnership with David Sergeant at the University of Plymouth to deliver our Arts and Humanities Research Council funded Utopia project.

We are delighted to welcome six fellow creative organisations to take part in the project, working together we are exploring how visions of Utopia may be able to help us to face the energy crisis and the climate emergency. Joining us on a Utopian journey are:

In October 2022, we hosted our first Utopia session and welcomed representatives from all these organisations; together we enjoyed delicious African fusion food at Plymouth Jollof Kitchen - based in The Clipper on Union Street in Plymouth. It was fantastic to bring friends and colleagues (old and new) together for this meal and to start our discussions about the Utopia project.

The next steps will be a joint creative workshop hosted at the Plymouth Community Climate Centre followed by facilitated individual workshops for each of the six organisations and a shared lunch in December.
