Harnessing the Clean Power Future

Last week Art and Energy were invited to join Regen for their event exploring the UK government’s radical Clean Power 2030 Action Plan in London. Featuring Merlin Hyman from Regen and Chris Stark CBE, head of Mission Control for Clean Power.

We thoroughly enjoyed this inspiring event which explored the strategies needed to supercharge renewable energy generation and storage, and the incredible investment opportunities on the horizon.

On display was our interactive solar powered artwork - We are All Connected, offering a moment of conversation and creativity and a powerful reminder of the close alignment between our creative expression and sustainable futures.

In August 2024, Art and Energy were commissioned by the West Midlands Combined Authority to create an artwork to celebrate the launch of the region’s new smart energy strategy which over 100 organisations have been involved in co-creating and will be essential to advancing our journey towards a low carbon future. The invitation to develop this artwork asked us to consider what was poetic, interesting and important about Smart Energy Systems.

Since August, We are All Connected has been on display in Plymouth for the four day Dazzle Festival celebrating the unique history of the Devonport area of the city.
